okay so a little bit ago i was asking for people's ideas on the cornley character's birth order positions (thank you to those who contributed). i'm still wildly unsure of quite a few, and because of that, i'm going to talk through my thinking processes for each right now, because that helps me out.

chris: probably one of the hardest because i can see him as an oldest, youngest OR only child. like all of them make sense to me. the oldest/only child vibe of trying to live up to parents expectations vs the youngest child always in the older siblings shadow vibe. i cannot make up my mind. if he's the youngest, then it's an older brother for sure, if he's the oldest i have no idea.

robert: youngest or middle, i see him with two siblings. one's definitely a sister (the one chris was with in accgw — she's the one who could be older or younger than him) but i'm not decided on the other one (lucy's parent). logically given that lucy's last name is grove, it would make sense for it to be robert's brother (given that's usually how names work in our society), but it's not impossible for it to be a sister, and that has a specific vibe that could relate to family stuff for robert (feeling like he has to "be a man" from his father etc)

max: almost fully certain on him being an only child, but i keep on getting the urge to give him a little sister, just because i think it'd be cute.

sandra: definitely the youngest. i also imagine her having at least three siblings (maybe more). i am stuck between her having all older sisters (that desire to prove herself and outshine her perfect sisters) or all older brothers ("mummy's little princess" vibes, a little bit spoiled).

dennis: stuck between middle, youngest and only. i could see him as the middle child who's always forgotten/undervalued because he's not the special oldest or the cute youngest, but i also see him as having an older sibling (or siblings?) who he's constantly compared to and told "why aren't you more like them?". BUT i also see him being the only child and his parents just being disappointed in him. if he's the middle, i see him having a brother on either side. if he's the youngest, i see either one sibling (brother or sister) or two (either two brothers or one brother one sister).

annie: middle child with quite a few siblings vibes to me. probably on the older end (eg one older sibling and like three younger). this one i've always been pretty solid on, but i'm willing to reconsider this. unsure about the genders of her siblings.

jonathan: pretty solid on him too, due to headcanons i have about his family i headcanon him as an only child. i know quite a few give him a younger sister (the fanfic influence) but those roles people put on her i usually just translate to his daughter. not much else to say.

vanessa: i am the type of person who goes "identical twins" when i see two people played by the same person in a universe, so she's got a twin sister to me (bryony's receptionist in accgw). i also think she has a younger half brother.

trevor: a group of us on the mischief discord kinda came up with a solid family for trevor, and i think it fits so i'm sticking to it! second youngest out of four, two older sisters — tanya, who trevor is heard speaking to on the phone at the beginning of ppgw stage version, and tessa, who is usually just the girl version of trevor in the shows but who we have developed into her own character — and a younger brother dale, who is from trevor's twitter account.

I think the scariest part about Batman is the loyalty he inspires. Like this motherfucker has an army of children who might at any given time hate his guts, but are still 100% willing to throw hands for him if Bruce needs them to. And then there’s the Justice League, who also at any given time might hate his guts or find him insanely irritating and/or weird, but will also fall in line and listen to his plans if the need arises. And that’s like the most intense form of power someone can wield—voluntary obedience from people physically more capable than them.

I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.

Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.

Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.

And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.

All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.

the touchstarved cast are canonically bisexual (homo and hetero attraction; the attraction to people of the same and different sex as you). you can use pansexual too but i identify as bi myself so that's what i prefer.

how do i know this? how can i say this with such conviction?

because you, playing as the MC, can be whatever fucking gender identity + sex you want. and the LIs will fall in love with and fuck you.

it is not a difficult concept to grasp. this is so fucking normal for dating sims. stardew valley? they're all bi. the arcana? all bi. fields of mistria? bi. every last one of them. this is the industry fucking standard for dating sims.

"but if I'm a man and I'm dating kuras then isn't he gay" a bisexual person doesn't change their sexuality depending on whom they're dating. they are still bisexual. i am not suddenly straight because i'm dating a guy. i'm not suddenly a lesbian because i'm dating a woman. i am always bisexual. kuras is always bisexual. the entire cast is always bisexual.

Okay, My Dirk is either 17 to 20 in my art

I generally will keep aging him up to match my age too (as youve seen when I was his age (i joined the homestuck community at 16) i drew him the way hes portrayed in homestuck)

so if im still a homestuck when im over 20 you‘ll see LMFAOO

He has one eyebrow piercing which I always forget to draw LMAO

his haircuts r always messy or i draw him with overgrown hair

he also still has a bit of baby fat to his face which is why idk if u guys noticed but i draw him w more of a baby face compared to jake and the others (projection BUT my face is getting more defined hehehehehe guysss im growing)

Also my Dirk has an accent in my head (I switch from southern to german in my head ahahah)

I very much gave him my body except his chest is smaller (slams fist to table in agony)

Outta curiousity... how do u think huzzle, bauhauzzo, and cobigails ascensions went in this regard? they seem pretty emotionally stable all things considered but huzzle and bauzzie boy ascended AGES ago, who knows how they've changed.....

Thanks a ton! ^ u ^ So in my opinion, becoming a god is an exhausting affair for all honestly, even without a hitch, so even those who are stable can end up a little frazzled. Bauzzie boy is not exempt from this, especially because he has to get used to remembering everything as if it were new. He showed up in a fissure like from an earthquake after a day :)

Huzzle actually took a while to pop in at 4 days, but when it did, you can say it was with a "BANG!". Huzzle Mug didn't take long because of unresolved issues, but more from not knowing what it was as an answer; such is the curse of the creatives.

Bauzzie made sure to catch it though, siblinghood began day one :) Cobigail Quickly popped in, she had good a sense of who she was, A nice (yet devious with pranks) music teacher well known in her town of Milldread! she sprouted up a little disoriented though, and ended up being spooked by the other gods- though she ended up entertained by that honestly....

now bout the remaining gods..... I currently have no idea how thespius appeared in the current moment, feel free to tell me thoughts if anyone has them, i like giving them unique entrances but he's stumped me <:(

People give Valka a lot of shit which makes me sad bc her flaws are what make her interesting, and I LOVE thinking about her character.

Like, Have we considered how she had Hiccup at 20 and was married before that? Have we considered that, though she was in love with Stoick, marrying the Chief (or soon-to-be-chief) is a lot of responsibility? Have we considered how young 20 is and Hiccup takes after her in so many ways, not feeling ready for responsibility or wanting to settle down could be one of them? Have we considered she deliberately didn't come back because she maybe felt she wasn't ready to be a mother? Have we considered she loves Hiccup and Stoick so dearly but needed to live her own life? Have we considered how bittersweet the reunion really was because she realized she missed her chance to actually be a mother and how much the guilt of not coming back must've weighed on her?

lestat as louis' muse

so we all know that louis is lestat's musical muse...so like in a perfect world where they are in marital bliss again, louis is taking pictures of lestat nonstop. he is his absolute muse. lestat will pose for him sometimes obviously, because he's lestat, but louis' favorites are when he catches him off-guard. each time, he marvels at the piture, claiming that no one has ever looked more beautifully candid than him. louis would also capture lestat's grin after complimenting him as such.

even when they are visiting the most beautiful places, with unique architecture and gorgeous scenery lighten by the night sky, his eyes always land on lestat and therefore his lens finds its way there. louis sometimes lets him in the dark room with him, only if he promises to keep himself occupied. lestat will look up every now and then from the book he's pretending to read while louis is processing a photo with a beam and twinkle in his eyes. "I see you grinning, mon cher," he'd say from his seat, "photo of me, hm?" Louis would shoot him a smug grin, "Maybe," glancing over his shoulder and adjusting his posture. lestat would be over to him in a blink, dipping his head flirtatiously between louis and the photo, leaving louis no option but to surrender and let their lips meet.

cyn hc of mine : in episode 5 minus all the stuff in the bunker the cyn we see is the real cyn up until the “don’t go to the gala” sence

Tbh I can see where you're coming from, the switch-up in behavior from Cyn in the first half of the episode up until the Gala (the climax & second half) is pretty noticeable. With how nonchalant she acts with N vs. how dismissive she acts with Tessa/J before revealing the Solver form is a pretty good 180 turn.

Personally, to me it'd always been the Solver from the moment Cyn allowed it access in the beginning of the episode (the Drone waking up underneath the pile of bodies in the junkyard, which is asked by the Solver to give it admin access).

Her switch up in the episode to me personally shows the Solver's ability to adapt & improvise with certain people through it's host and the abilities at hand, using it cleverly to get certain events rolling. e.g knowing that N would most likely defend her against Louisa's outburst or being dismissive of N's survival because she already has clones/copies of the main 3 who'll become Disassembly Drones later on.

Though it's also very "human" in a sense to show this range of emotions with different people depending on the situational awareness, and I can see why folks wouldn't think an AI could create this range of behavior this easily, and it instead truly comes from Drone Cyn instead of the AS.

Though I guess with how sparse information is about Cyn as the Solver's host it's all up to personal interpretation- actually a fact I enjoy about the show, rather than being upset that some characters don't have a canon answer to open/ambigious information.

Makes making up headcanons & drawing your own conclusions much more fun and allows for more room to discuss potential answers without having to debate against "acktually, the show said-" arguments, pff.

He’s chosen to destroy everyone and everything he loves; he doesn’t exactly deserve to be referred to as a person anymore, does he? For a while, he tries to become entirely nameless, but it doesn’t quite work. He’ll think of something and his mind will slip. He’ll refer to himself, or Phantom will call him Sans. His mind won’t let him be completely nameless. So he settles for the next best thing.

A few years later, Nightmare visits Dusttale and recruits 1-S, a silent assassin with an unsettling grin. As names go it’s unusual, especially in a group with people named Killer, Horror and Cross, but the others generally accept it. After all, what’s in a name? He’s a skilled strategist and fighter with a past every bit as horrific as their own. Except.

Except every time they call him 1-S, he flinches. When you call someone’s name they should turn towards the sound; he recoils instead, vanishing into the shadows of his hood. In battle, everyone quickly learns not to use that name because when he hears it, he seems for a moment to forget how to fight, before pressing forward with the type of fear and anger that disintegrates strategy into chaos. As much as Nightmare feeds on the needles of negative energy summoned whenever 1-S hears his name, he is frustrated by this barrier that begins to form, the way that saying his newest recruit’s name abruptly halts communication, tearing at any sense of camaraderie. This can’t go on.

The first time Killer calls him Dusty, it’s an insult and a barbed joke. Looking for trouble, Killer makes a comment about 1-S’ scarf still being covered in his brother’s dust. 1-S launches himself at the other skeleton and the two have to be separated before they seriously harm each other. But even as Horror pulls 1-S off him, Killer sees the furious gleam in his eyes. So much better than the dull fear that rests there when he’s referred to as 1-S. So much more exciting.

Killer continues to call him Dusty. For the longest time, 1-S responds to this name with nothing but rage, but he doesn’t flinch. In day to day life, he looks up and glares at the speaker. In battle, it makes him grit his teeth at the most. So as time goes on, the others slowly begin to call him that as well. Not Dusty, no - that’s too infantile, too disrespectful. But Dust… that name works.

That name suits him well.

Oooh I'm gonna ramble about Hollow and gender hcs for a minute !!

Firstly, I do like the idea of the vessels post-canon getting to explore and embrace their own gender identies! for Hollow specifically, who struggles with dehumanizing itself, this might take some time.

I don't believe Hollow would even attempt using feminine pronouns or identity.

As Hollow was the greatest victim of the Radiance's physical and psychological torture. It having been possessed by the being that destroyed its body and took the lives of countless others who it desired more than anything to protect.

Hollow was so conjoined with her that its body was the closest thing she had to her own.

I imagine it would take years for it to distance itself from her even after it had been freed and she had died.

While I assume accepting any gender identity would be difficult initially, I can see (and even hc myself) that Hollow would eventually accept using he/him pronouns and identify with masculinity, (Especially with the Pale king being an inspiration to it.) Its experience with the Radiance would leave it uncomfortable with presenting itself as female.

None of this is to say that Hollow wouldn't embrace its more feminine attributes too, or that it would lack respect for or attraction to femininity. (I believe the opposite !)

Just that it would feel uncomfortable primarily identifying itself that way. And would choose not to as a form of distancing itself from its experience being possessed by the Radiance.

I do like the idea of Hollow eventually finding comfort in presenting as masculine. Again, something he and his father would have in common. As the Pale king had chosen a masculine identity for himself too. (PK went from using it/its to he/him pronouns) And we know the he has always been an inspiring figure to Hollow.

That way of connecting with him could be meaningful.

Everything that has to do with the vessels (and especially Hollow) getting to explore new aspects of their identies and find enjoyment and peace in doing it, is so interesting to me !!

The world ends with you gave the depressed 2000s tweens so many gifts, and one of the greatest is introducing the player to a cast of fun, well rounded, and deeply human feeling background characters, only for the very premise of the game to be that all of these people are dead, leaving the player to grapple with the fridge horror and possibly fill in the blanks with their own ideas.
